Teacher Training Preparation
Teaching Young Learners Preparation Certificate (TYLP)
If you are interested in working with children who are learning English as a second language, you need to have strong English skills and confidence. You need to communicate with your ESL learners by using clear and correct English, and the right vocabulary.
ILSC’S TYLP Program will help you achieve these goals, and is the perfect introduction to working with children in English and to future TESOL course work with our sister school: Greystone College.
In the TYLP Program you will study and practice English through focusing on interesting topics like how children develop and learn, as well as participating in second language acquisition activities designed for children: games, crafts and songs. We also ensure that you do a number of presentations and provide you with a one week practicum in a Canadian school or organization of your choice. Practice does make perfect:
Program Overview - On a daily basis, English grammar, writing, speaking and vocabulary will be taught to correspond with the weekly content.

ILSC’s TESOL-TYL Preparation Plus Diploma Program is designed to equip you with the language skills for teaching English as a second language to young learners (children, adolescents, and young adults), and is the perfect introduction to working with children in English and to future TESOL course work with our sister school: Greystone College.
The basis of teaching English is to understand not only the English language, but also the teaching-learning process. Through a combination of theoretical and practical study, the TESOL-TYL Preparation Plus Diploma Program allows you to achieve an appropriate standard in both skill sets.
