Volunteer Internship Program (formerly known as Cooperative Education Program)
Volunteer Internship Program
The Volunteer Internship Program combines English and/or French language studies with experience in the Canadian workplace. Since beginning in 1994, the Volunteer Internship Program has become one of ILSC’s most popular programs. The Volunteer Internship Program is offered at all 3 of the ILSC campuses. The Montreal campus offers the program with French and Bilingual options.
The first half of the program is 1 to 3 months of full-time intensive classes (English or French). After classes, students are placed in an industry that reflects their interests, previous work experience and educational background.
Levels: Intermediate 3 to Advanced 2
Requirements
The program is available to students who register for fulltime classes and who reach a high intermediate or advanced language level.
Specific foundation classes may apply depending on student’s previous experiences. |

Participating in the Volunteer Internship Program has been a
very good experience for me. I met wonderful
people, discovered the Canadian way of business
and improved my professional skills. Working in
English provided me with a challenge and helped
me gain self-confidence. I went above and beyond
my objectives and I am glad I had this unforgettable
experience.
