My name is Sofia and I’m from Russia. I chose ILSC because I had heard a lot about this fabulous language school from my friends all over the world! Everyone who had the chance to spend some time in ILSC said it was one of the best experiences in their lives. One of the great things about ILSC is that teachers create a “family” atmosphere in class. Over one session, people who were once strangers soon become as close as brothers and sisters! Moreover, despite having fun during the lessons, students are given really useful information which helps them a lot in future. The ILSC school activities are very well organized and all the excursions are very interesting and really worth attending! ILSC gave me a wonderful possibility to understand Canadian culture, share my experience with awesome people from all over the world and do my best in studying English. Thank you ILSC for being so wonderful!

I've really enjoyed to be here at ILSC because the classes have a very informal atmosphere. It's friendly and you can choose from many different classes. You can choose what you are really interested in and also, like me, you can enter the Co-op program which I think is really interesting for my future and it's a great experience. Also, it's a great experience to live in a Homestay family. It's something I will never forget.

I’ve been studying French in my country for two years but only grammar. So, I decided to find a place where I can really practice my French. I searched on the internet and I found www.learnfrench.ca. Then, I decided to come here. On the first day that I was here, I suddenly thought that I’ve made a right decision to come here. I fell in love with ILSC!! The environment is so nice. All teachers and friends welcome me and plus I can go shopping everyday after school as it is right in the centre of the city. I’ve learned lots of new things and made many new friends from different countries. It’s not only French that I’ve learned, but also Canadian culture and other cultures as well. Moreover, I’ve learned that different cultures go together. I really don’t want to go back because I really enjoy my time in Montreal and especially in ILSC. I wish I could stay longer. If I have a chance, I will definitely come back here. Thank you very much ILSC. I’ll remember you forever!!!

My stay in ILSC Toronto was awesome! They provided me good teachers and facilities and a well built structure for the classes. They also gave me a unique opportunity to improve my English as I had never before. I could not have had better teachers than the ones I found in ILSC! All of them have an amazing knowledge of English and they have many different ways of teaching without making the class a boring environment. They found a really kind homestay family in which I trust and who made my stay in Canada even more richer in terms of English learning. I hope that I can come back and spend more time in this fantastic place. Thank you for what you have done for me ILSC!

I've greatly appreciated what ILSC has given to me during the time I was there. Especially, all the teachers were so nice and friendly. They are not only professional in their works but also very inspirational. I’ve learned a lot of new information from every single hour I spent in the classes with dedicated teachers and friendly classmates in an active and creative atmosphere. Moreover, What I've learned here is not just academic information, also I've learned more or less useful skills for living. Indeed, my English was really improved even though I've just studied here for 6months. Particularly, my speaking skill and listening skill are so much more better than before. In addition, You would feel safety when you study here. Because all members in ILSC are willing to help you a lot. You should be sure that you will be in a eventful environment during your stay here with a lot of friends from over the world. The most thing I like best is no matter what who you are or where you from, all the people here treat you fairly and friendly. I am for sure to say that ILSC in Vancouver is a great place to study. I don’t think that the words to describe ILSC have yet been created. It really is hard to say how fabulous it was. I woke up everyday knowing that the day was going to be great because I was going to ILSC. People really respect you regardless of what your nationality or religion is. The staff members are so kind. Teaching styles varied from one teacher to another, but I always trusted that all their methods would work. I must also mention how lovely and friendly the other students were. I am sure that I made lots of lifelong friends. I will never forget my experience at ILSC. If you really want to learn French, then this is the right place to be.

ILSC is a great school to learn a language. I like their policy that forbids the students from speaking in their mother tongue. The teachers have lots of experience, they are very approachable and they always try to make classes fun and also productive. Since I started studying French at ILSC, I feel very comfortable about my progress and I’ve enjoyed it so much that I extended my stay in Canada, so I could continue studying here at ILSC.

ILSC is one of the biggest language schools which has 3 branches at Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal. There are many course and program for students to learn English. ILSC provides a various way with students to study English through ESL, Business, TESOL, and Co-op Courses and programs. Every session students can choose a specialized class and subject such as ESL, Business English, drama, yoga, Canadian study, test preparation etc.. It is too difficult to live in other country because it may happen many problems and students couldn't be helped by family and friends. There are kind 3 Korean counsellors in ILSC. I studied at this school, ILSC, for 8 months, which gave me great memories!! I could make many friends who come from many different counties all over the world. Canada is a multicultural country, as well as ILSC. My favorite class was People and Places Though Time in which I could learn about history and hear what my foreign friends thought about Japanese history or history of any other countries. I am pretty sure you might have many options to choose classes in ILSC.

I am a mature student who had forgotten much of the French I learned in school and university years ago. So I signed up for two weeks of advanced French at the ILSC Montreal as a refresher course. I found the classes most informative and useful. My teachers were well prepared, professional and helpful. Most important for me, and for all my fellow students really, was the way in which we were encouraged and stimulated to speak French and not just listen passively. By the time I left Montreal, I felt that I had definitely benefited from my experience at the ILSC. Meeting so many friendly young people from other lands was an added bonus.

What kind of school are you looking for to learn and improve your English skills? I'm glad that I'm studying English at ILSC-Montreal. This school offers a flexible schedule and different kinds of courses that you can take. What has surprised me the most is the quality of the teachers, their professionalism and, all in all, their friendly attitude. At this school, I can get my teachers to prepare their courses seriously. What's the main goal for learning English? The answer is communication. So far, I've not only learned how to speak English but also valuable communication skills. Quite a few people are always confused about the best way to speak English fluently. At ILSC-Montreal, teachers make activities and create a lot of opportunities which are associated with my life. The teachers don't only teach me speak up, but they also share their opinions and deep knowledge to us. It’s not enough to learn English in the classroom. Sometimes, I joined activities after school. It’s a good chance to get to know Montreal not only from a tourist’s perspective, but from a local’s one. If I have any questions about English courses, I can always consult the English Program Coordinator, also, I can get useful information and suggestions from them. Besides this, this school cares about the quality of homestays. So, there is a special department which is responsible for dealing with this. The staff always tries to offer students good service, Although I don’t learn French here, I can still hear it being spoken around me so I feel it is a romatic language. This language school is small but cozy.

Before I came to Toronto I studied 2 weeks in Vancouver so I didn't have to do the test in my first day in Toronto. I chose to do the Global Social Issues class in the morning with the teacher Vanessa. Since the class started I realized that I was going to enjoy and learn a lot of English in my class. The teacher made me feel very well and presented me to my classmates. The teacher made everything she could to teach us about the things that are happening now in the world. I have luck because she taught me things I have never heard of. Vanessa taught us not only what is going on in the world but to try to make something to help. I liked that I had people from all over the world in my class so I could learn many things about other counties and cultures. The school has strong classes which make us learn a lot of English and have many things to do in the afternoon. Everyone at ILSC is very kind and helps with anything I need. The structure of the school is great because it is big, has good computers, good TV's in the classrooms and it's located on a street very easy to go to. I really loved to go to ILSC Toronto and I want to go back and stay longer.

I had such a great time while I was studying in ILSC. It's my first time for studying abroad. I'd been nervous before I came here. However, I have to say ILSC gave me unforgettable experience. I had many nice international friends though I'd never thought to have such a good friendship in different country. All teachers are very friendly so that I could ask whatever I was curious. I had a wonderful counselor that I could ask for advice in every kind of subject. She helped me to have smoothly life in Vancouver. I can totally say that I improved myself a lot from ILSC. My English skills got better and also I have many friends that we've been keeping in touch. I'm going to remember every second I spent at ILSC. I'm surely going to come back when I have an opportunity.

This course is not easy to take, but absolutely helpful and great course! Course book and materials all are great, very organized and helpful. Especially, teacher (TESOL trainer) is very experienced, knowledgeable…I’ve learned a lot from the teacher. I realized that I’ve improved so much not just in English but also in teaching skills. It helped me a lot move onto next step in my life of teaching. Now, I’m proud of myself to complete this course and I found the confidence in myself especially in my teaching field. Course tutor is absolutely great, ILSC environment too. Someone who wants to be an English teacher or wants to learn teaching skills, I completely recommend ILSC TESOL course in Montreal. I’ll never forget the time that I’ve spent in ILSC Montreal.

I've been a student at ILSC in Toronto for more than a year. When you push the elevator button for the 3rd floor in ILSC, you can feel the good vibrations. The atmosphere at the school is great. The teachers are one of the most important parts of the school. They always try to be happy and helpful. We are students who have left our families and taken the adventure of coming to another country to learn English. We exchange our parents for a great experience in Homestay, friends for teachers and brothers and sisters for classmates.
I took many courses and all of them were interesting. You can choose many different classes and if you feel unhappy , in less than a minute you can change it. I also had the opportunity to help the school in the computer lab. Monitoring the lab, I met a lot of people from around the world and exchanged ideas and encountered many personalities. Unfortunately my time here is over and I have to go back to my country, but if I ever want to continue studying English, I would definitely come back to ILSC, because it was such a good experience.

I had studied ILSC for six months. I love this English Language School so much because the teachers are all have pretty personality and they always teach us by different styles, special they treat students like friends such as they share their experiences in the life and provide the professional opinions for us, these are all let me feel I can learn more fascinating things not only English. Besides, I can make many friends from all over the world and I can understand different cultures deeply by chatting with them. I can learn English not only in classes but also hang out with them. The administrative staffs in school are also passion and patience to deal with the events from students. I’m so appreciated that ILSC provided me a good environment to learn English and let me know I can go anywhere and make friends by using English. These are all opening up my vision and let me realize the world is big and interesting.

Hi, I'm from Taiwan. It was my first time to study abroad. Before I left Taiwan, I was so nervous. However, after I arrived at ILSC and started studying, I felt better because the first teacher whom I met is very nice and kind. I studied in ILSC for one year, and in this one year, I believe I improved a lot. I started from B4, but after 9 months, I moved up to A2. I improved that kind of fast. The teachers helped me a lot.

I'm called Nestor in Canada, but actually my name is Sang Won Choi. I am from Korea. I had such a great time in Vancouver. First of all, I spent lots of time at ILSC. Mainly it is because I was an ILSC student, but also I mean that the school affected my life. I did lots of different things in Canada, so I would like tell you what kind of experiences I had.
I was surprised by the many different nationalities. It was one of the reasons to come to Canada, and the numbers of nationalities are more than I expected in Korea. I wanted to see many kinds of cultures, besides studying English. I thought it could be possible in Vancouver. For example, we could hear many kinds of languages on the bus or the sky train easily. It sounds funny. The official language in Canada is English, but we can hear other languages more often. It means we can meet foreigns anywhere and anytime. I think that there are lots of students from Asia, Europe and South America at ILSC and in Vancouver. It's very helpful for us. I have been learning different ways of thinking and cultures not only in the class, but outside. For example, we had different food when we went to an Asian restaurant. I am familiar with this food, but my friends who are from Europe felt weird about it. I mean we had to share the side dishes or main dishes. At first, they couldn't accept to share the food. After I explained our behavior and general situation in Korea, They tried to accept it. Eventually, they got use to sharing the food. Nowadays my friends always tell me "I really love to share everything." Whenever I hear that, I am really happy and satisfied. After I go back to Korea, I am going to miss them.
Another experience of mine in Canada was working for ILSC and doing volunteer work. Working in the computer room, I helped new students and teachers. Although there weren't any big problems, I met many difficult situations. Because I had to communicate with them in English, so it wasn't easy. Whenever I was asked questions, I did my best. After a few weeks I felt that my English skills improved. I would like to write about my volunteer work. I participated in few kinds of Festivals. Sometimes I had to guide the customer to find the right way. Besides that, I was an extra actor of a music video at Pacific National Exhibition. In addition, there was a funnier story. I acted as a translator between Korean and English. Actually my English level is not so high, but I was asked to translate introductions of institute. It was so funny, even though I took a long time to translate between Korean and English. After the translation, from this weekend, I'm going to do volunteer work in Fringe Festival on Granville Island. I'm looking forward to it and excited to meet many friends.
Why I want to tell you about my life in Canada is that "we should enjoy our lives." Some people say to me that "Vancouver is so boring city." However I don't agree with it. There are a lot of festivals and places that we couldn't see in our own countries. Even though the downtown of Vancouver is a bit small, various restaurants and unique cafes are waiting for us.

The school was simply great! In my first day I already went to the afternoon class and it was really good! The teachers are the best, they have an incredible knowledge and also they know how to keep the class interesting. The school activities for every day make the people walk around Toronto and discover something that only Canadian people would know. The best thing is most of them are free! In ILSC I found a lot of Brazilian students but that wasn't a problem because people have consciousness about the English Only Policy. It was an amazing experience that I will never forget! I made new friends, visited a lot of new places and most important, learnt a huge knowledge!
