Summer Promotion for ILSC-San Francisco!

ILSC is currently running an awesome promotion for students who want to study and play in beautiful San Francisco, California. Students who register for 12 weeks of Full-Time Intensive study will receive 4-weeks of FREE Semi-Private Tutoring Lessons (4 lessons/week). As well, for current students at any of our ILSC-North America locations, we’re offering some exiting extras for those who want to extend their studies and spend 4 weeks or more in San Francisco. New Work in the Rocky Mountains Program at ILSC-Canada

ILSC’s Canadian schools are offering an exciting new Work & Study program! "Work in the Rocky Mountains" will provide students with support securing work and accommodation in the beautiful Rocky Mountain resort town of Banff during the winter months. Participants will work in positions like server, lift-operator, hotel maintenance worker and more, and will be able to practice their English as they connect with visitors from around the globe. When they’re not at work, they can play on the mountains, and connect with the many young adventurers who live and work in this stunning national park. ILSC-Canada Locations now Open IELTS Test Centres

ILSC’s Canadian locations are now Open IELTS Test Centres and can offer both the General Training,and Academic IELTS test modules. ILSC-Montréal will begin offering the IELTS test on June 15th, ILSC-Toronto on May 18th, and ILSC-Vancouver starting this summer. New Video about the Green Leadership Project on ILSC TV
ILSC Vancouver’s Green Leadership Project will be launching this summer. Last year, ILSC introduced a Green Leadership Class which gives students a chance to learn English through exploring environmental topics relevant on Canada’s West Coast and around the world. The Green Leadership Project will combine this interesting, informative class with experiential learning, as students participate in 2 environmentally themed afternoon activities, and 1 weekend activity per week. The Project is offered in a 4 week format, and each week will focus on a different green issue. Watch our new Green Leadership Project video to learn more about this unique program.
University Pathway Program Update
The growth of ILSC’s University Pathway program continues. Some of our recent new partner additions include:
- Lakehead University, based in Thunder Bay, Ontario, and known as a strong research university
- Centennial College, Toronto’s first established college
- Algonquin College, the largest college in eastern Ontario
As well, many of ILSC’s students have been able to visit our college partners in recent months to tour the facilities and learn more about the variety of higher education options available in Canada, the USA, and Australia. Our 2013 University Pathway Program brochure is now available on our website, and outlines the many programs available at all of our new and current partner schools.
GoGlobal Photo Contest
ILSC’s long anticipated GoGlobal Video is now up on our YouTube channel. The video features footage from students and staff at all of our 7 locations, all filmed with GoPro cameras to capture the ILSC experience from the first person perspective. Back in July, we launched our GoGlobal video contest and shortlisted 1 student and 1 staff member from each location out of our list of entrants. Congratulations to Branca from ILSC-San Francisco who won a GoPro camera to keep!
To celebrate the launch, we are currently running a GoGlobal photo contest to get students to share their ILSC experiences on Facebook, and Instagram. Students will have the opportunity to win 1 of 8 iPod shuffles, or even an iPad mini! More importantly, we’ll get to find out how students lives are being changed by their experiences studying at ILSC.

ILSC.COM gets a Facelift
ILSC Education Group’s main website has been given a makeover. The new look was launched on December 18th.It offers simpler navigation, and now includes information about our 7 exciting global locations, along with more visual media showcasing our schools and programs.. As well, ilsc.ca is currently being upgraded with a new look and a simplified navigational structure to improve the findability of information pertaining to our Canadian Schools. The fresh new site is expected to launch in early/mid Feb 2013. Our ILSC-India, ILSC-USA, and ILSC-Australia sites will follow over the coming months.
New Green Leadership Course
ILSC-Vancouver is launching a Green Leadership course this summer, which will give students the opportunity to explore environmental issues and advocacy. Students will challenge themselves to discuss and reflect on the environmental issues current on the North West Coast of Canada, as well as some of the pro-active policies put into place to maintain eco-diversity and build upon green initiatives. Students can also complement their study by participating in environmentally themed activities which will allow them to explore the local landscape and ecology, and get a better understanding of what many environmental advocacy groups are fighting to protect. Students can also participate in ILSC's Green Team, a collective of students, staff and teachers who volunteer to raise environmental awareness within the school.
ILSC-Toronto Opens a New Campus
ILSC-Toronto now has another campus, conveniently located within 5 minutes - walk from the main campus. The modern two-floor space accommodates 300 students in 20 classrooms and includes a computer lab. Each floor also has an internet café, kitchen, fridge and 6 microwaves, as well as vending machines. We're excited to welcome students to this beautiful new learning space!
New Medical English Diploma Program at ILSC
ILSC is offering a new program designed for medical students and professionals who want to develop their medical English. Formerly offered at the Vancouver Medical English Institute, this very unique program was developed by an ESL instructor with a background in occupational therapy. Past graduates of the program have been able to share research and experiences with other professionals, present their work at medical conferences, teach Medical English in their home countries, and add a valuable new set of skills to their résumés. ILSC is excited to bring this specialized program to our Vancouver campus starting this March!
